Address:  7, Balchug Street, Moscow

Design — 1995–1997
Realization — 2002–2004

The building site is located in Zamoskvorechye; it is confined by Sadovnicheskaya Embankment, Balchug Street, and the territory of St. George church in Endova (the Solovetsky Monastery metochion).

Besides new construction, there is a restoration part: historical buildings along Balchug are being preserved with their height dimensions according to the practice of the end of the end of 1990s — beginning of the 2000s. Dimensional and spatial parameters of the Center were determined taking into account specific disclosures of historical monuments and urban development dominants; in particular, a visual passage to Pokrovsky Cathedral was preserved. The elevated part of the new building has a stepped outline, gradually narrowing upwards.

When internal structure and building plan were developed the international experience of construction of buildings of this kind was considered. Shopping areas, a restaurant and a cafe are located on the ground and basement floors of the complex. Offices occupy the upper floors.

Metal, tinted glass, polished granite were used for finishing of facades of the new building; plaster and painting were used for restoration of facades of historical buildings.
