Address:  9, 60–letiya Oktyabrya Avenue, Moscow

Design — 1989

This is one of the first author’s works of Mikhail Posokhin. The compositional plan and the spatial decision are notable for novelty, laconicism and clarity. The form of the construction reminds an inverted pyramid the floors in which hang one above the other. The faceted hall forms a center around which all the other premises are located as terraces.

The balconies of each floor open to the foyer which for the first time in the history of the Soviet architecture was solved as atrium space with a winter garden.

Technical and economic performance:

  • Total structural volume — 45 563 m³
  • Total area of the building — 7 870 m²
  • Working area — 4 953 m²
