M. M. Posokhin characterized this building as romantic. The clear aspiration to recreate the historical environment of this area is expressed in the project. For this reason the image of construction is focused on the rented house of the architect E. Nirnzee topped with a turret with a belvedere, located a little to the north in the Garden Ring. The author's plan included intention to create a complicated, eclectic construction, a priori, not sterile from the stylistic point of view. Considering a residential function of the house, authors focused their attention on motives of eclecticism and a modernist style, manifestations of modern romanticism, the most clear to the simple citizen. In other words, they have returned a certain historicism to this place of the city by modern architectural means.
