Design — 2001
The hotel and business center is a modern construction which is closely related to the ideas of the outstanding Russian architects and engineers I. Leonidov and V. Shukhov. The designed building is to become the most important element of the Moscow–City Central Core and to close its principal axis. Its accommodation on Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment, considering its height specifications — almost 300 m — would allow organizing unique viewing points, including the view on the Kremlin. The hotel rooms, offices, cafés, restaurants and technical premises are concentrated around the central communication core.
Recreation platforms, connected by panoramic elevators, are provided for every 7–9 residential storeys. Multifunctional halls with servicing escalators and stairs are placed in the stylobate part of the building. A restaurant and a helicopter deck are designated at the top.
The structural layout of the building is based on the internal central core and the external carrying frame, which allow organizing an empty support–free space.
