Address:  4–10, Miklukho–Maklay Street, Moscow

Design — 2005–2007
Realization — 2008–2011

Laureate of the «International Property Awards» competition (Great Britain, London, 2013).

Grand Prix of the International Architecture–2011 festival — the Russian national architectural award «Crystal Dedal».

The building site of the center has almost 400–meter front of the building line of one of the main highways of the city — Leninsky Avenue. The center comprises different functional units: medical, research, educational and polyclinic, and also boarding house for accommodation of the children taking a course of medical rehabilitation. This is a kind of residential house with apartment units, consisting of three dwelling rooms — each for one child and one of his parents, a common living room, a kitchen and sanitary facilities. The center may accommodate 400 children simultaneously. The design provides for about 250–300 bunks.

The architectural solution of the center was suggested by its future users — doctors themselves, who asked to create an optimistic building, by no means resembling gloomy hospital architecture, so traditional for us, because this building is designed for already recovering children. It resulted in a solution, based on the spreading of bold volumes — multicolored cubes with colored insets on facades. One of the buildings — the tower — was called the «Tree of life».
